Accommodation to rent

Whether you’re looking for an affordable cottage where you can live independently and safely in peaceful park-like surroundings … or you need specialised 24 hour frail care for an elderly relative … or even a loving home for a child or adult with physical or intellectual disabilities – you’ve come to the right place.

Our Home offers various types of accommodation – from 20 private, self contained cottages for fit and active elderly people, to houses with shared facilities suitable for those requiring assisted living, semi frail care and full 24 hour nursing care.

The cost of accommodation ranges from R1 500 to R8 700 per month.

Coronation House

Single and double rooms with shared ablutions for semi-frail and frail residents.

Meals are served in the dining room for those residents who are mobile.

Led by the sister-in-charge, a team of caregivers provide 24 hour nursing care for all their residents. CCTV monitors ensure that staff are able to respond swiftly when residents need help or supervision.

Meal preparation, laundry and cleaning services are provided by the housekeeper.

Robert Storm House

The home accommodates residents under 60 years old, who have various physical and mental disabilities. Most are able to manage their daily routines on their own, with supervision provided by the sister-in-charge.

Rooms accommodate two residents, with ablutions shared by everyone on that floor. The house has a diningroom where everyone eats together.

Meal preparation, cleaning and laundry services are provided by the housekeeper.

Mary Storm House

Suitable for able bodied, retired residents, the rooms accommodate two, with ablutions shared with everyone on that floor.

Meals are taken in the diningroom.

There is a housekeeper, who is responsible for meal preparation, laundry and maintenance of the home.

In addition, we have a caregiver on duty 24/7 to provide nursing assistance where needed.

This is ‘home’ to 34 children and young adults, severely affected by cerebral palsy.

The children are accommodated in one large ward and two smaller ones, all which are manned 24/7 by dedicated caregivers who love the children as if they were their own.

During the day, we provide stimulation programmes in the Day Room. The children also spend time outside, enjoying fresh air and sunshine on the covered patio.

Resthaven

Loving care for elderly people affected by Dementia, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s, Bipolar Disorder and other degenerative mental conditions.

These residents are not able to manage their daily routines on their own and require 24 hour support from nursing staff.

Simpson Molligren

Suitable for elders who are able to function independently. Residents are encouraged to take responsibility for ensuring their home is clean and  runs smoothly.

They do however receive three meals a day from the main kitchen.

Marilyn Jacobs House

Suitable for elders who are able to function independently. Residents are encouraged to take responsibility for ensuring their home is clean and  runs smoothly.

They do however receive three meals a day from the main kitchen.

Maclure House

Situated in Montclair, these 1-bedroom flats are suitable for people aged 55 and older who are able to live independently.

A clinic sister and the social workers visit once a month to monitor the social and physical well being of the residents.

Within our grounds, we have 20 private one and two bedroom cottages, suitable for fit and mobile single people and couples.

Once all the forms have been completed and the required documents obtained, please contact the Social Work Department on 031 205 1351 to make an appointment for an assessment. Bring all relevant forms with the applicant on the day of the assessment.
