Focusing on the practical aspects of care, this Short Skills Programme is directed at a learner interested in working as an assistant home based carer.

Upon completion, qualifying learners will be able to provide supervised care and support to elders and persons with disabilities within the individual household or a Care Home.

    This Qualification is for a worker who provides specialist care services in an institution or individual household. It develops competencies required to provide a comprehensive care service in a manner that has regard for life and property.

    Upon completion, qualifying learners will be able to work in one of the following care home and/or related settings:

    • Caring for infants, toddlers and children.
    • Caring for the elderly and frail.
    • Caring for the disabled.
